Innovate Fulton has developed a far‐reaching agenda for the revitalization of our commercial district. Roughly modeled after the highly‐successful Main Street™ approach used nationally, we have divided the work plan into committees.

Placemaking/Design/ Transportation

• PlantinGS - ESPECIALly trees - our commercial district is a heat island and trees can help to mitigate that

 Economic Vitality

• A full‐scale business retention program to assist current district businesses

• A youth micro‐enterprise program to teach entrepreneurship

• A land bank to acquire vacant or decrepit properties

• A building owner outreach program

• A feasibility study for a women’s cooperative

• Working with City and State agencies to craft a far‐reaching incentive program

• Develop an inventory of all available space now—or what might be coming online soon

• A small developer attraction program to encourage incremental development vs. large scale development

• maintain a strong public information presence in the neighborhood
